Happy Valentine’s day! We started the day in our house drinking pink smoothies, although this one was strictly for the husband!
I’ve added lots of skin boosting ingredients here to help our skin feel more nurtured as winter continues to march on. There are nutrient dense avocados full of fibre, vitamins, minerals and omega 3 fatty acids.
There’s also collagen, the most abundant protein in our bodies. It gives strength to our bones, muscles and skin but declines as we age. Ingesting collagen is said to boost natural levels. I notice a huge difference in my skin when I use collagen. I often have very dry skin on my hands over winter and notice within days of taking it that these patches have either gone or vastly improved.
Finally I had to add in some sex dust! When I was last in LA I insisted on my friend driving me out to Venice so I could stop by Moon Juice, Gwyneth Paltrow’s favourite haunt. Stocked full of juices, tonics, powders and well, sex dust, it’s a must see if you’re a bit of a health nut and happy to part with your cash.
For the record, sex dust is described as a “blend of lusty herbs” containing Ho Shou Wu, Cacao, Maca, Epimedium (also known as horny goat weed), Schisandra, and Stevia. It’s also said to said to help combat stress. I cant say I’m feeling any amazing effects yet but that’s probably because I have to wrangle two reluctant children to the supermarket shortly and it’s raining.
I hope you enjoy and have a wonderful Valentine’s wherever you are.
Claire xx
